Monster Project - January/February

I took some creative liberties with this monster, making it more griffin/dragon like instead of humanoid. I ended up liking it too much, though, so I remade it more accurate to the original.
Monster Project #2 - February

I tried to make this one more accurate to the original, so I made it stand upright and be a bit boxier. I definitely didn't spend a ton of time on this, so it was a bit messier than I would have wanted
Collaboration Project
Our Collaboration project was made to be a man's face covered in lotus blossoms. This symbolizes Odysseus's men on the island of the Lotus Eaters, where they were distracted by bodily pleasures like the joy-inducing lotus flowers and forgot about their families back home. It is meant to portray how humans can often focus on things that aren't really important or beneficial to their souls and minds and ignore the truly meaningful things in life.

I started this project with very high hopes, making the face in one class period and thinking it wouldn't take very long. However, I was very busy mass-producing thrown pieces, and when Winter Break rolled around I left it in its bag and it got moldy. I also had a really hard time trying to give it eyes, and I kept making the lotus flowers way too big. I was going to try again, but then it was the end of the year and I had no more time to work with greenware. Anyways, I slopped it.
